Brand identity process

Working together begins with understanding your business or project, then shaping an identity that expresses what makes it uniquely yours. A business identity forms the visual and conceptual foundation of your brand, and pricing varies widely depending on how extensive that foundation needs to be. The steps below outline the process.

Introductions

An opportunity to understand your goals and how I can support them. Once you share your work and what’s prompting the project, I’ll provide a price range and timeline. If it fits, I’ll prepare a formal proposal.

Proposal

The proposal defines the scope, timeline, deliverables, fixed-fee pricing, and standard terms. Once the plan is set, I’ll send the first invoice for 50% of the total. The balance is due at completion, before final files are released.

Research

I’ll ask focused questions about your challenges, what sets your business apart, and how you define success. The more insight you provide, the more thoughtful and durable the result.

Creative strategy

This phase defines the plan, including the ideas, qualities, and tone that guide the identity. Inspiration, mood boards, or simple sketches will help shape the direction before the digital design begins.

Design

Preparing a full presentation usually takes a few weeks, and because the direction is already set, you’ll normally see one or two refined ideas. The presentation demonstrates how the identity functions in advertising, websites, uniforms, stationery, or other brand materials. Your feedback on how well it matches the plan is essential, and there’s always room for refinement.

Brand Identity Pricing

All design work is created with practical use in mind, from social media templates to guidelines or printer consultations. And even long after the project wraps, clients can get in touch for visual guidance, new elements, referrals, or simply a second opinion.

Most clients need an identity system rather than a standalone logo. A unified visual theme keeps everything looking consistent and connected.
